Young and old work, eat, play and live together for a week, making a difference in the lives of people struck by disaster.  We go where the wind blows or the water rises.  We help put buildings and lives back together.

Knowledge and personal experiences are shared between young and old.  Everyone grows from shared hardships and accomplishments while helping others.

Going into the ninth grade or going into their eighties, participants work hard, play hard and come back glowing inside and out.

Looking forward to our next Mission trip

in August, 2018.

Our adventure for the summer of 2014 was a trip to Gifford, Illinois.  We worked in Gifford and the surrounding area from August 4th through 8th.  This is the closest community to our home we have ever assisted.  The tornado came in 2013 and was devastating.

We appreciated the hospitality of the Methodist church in Gifford who were assisted by the Iowa Methodist Conference who provided us with a shower trailer for hot showers at the end of the day.  On Sunday August 10th we shared some of our experiences in worship.  We are grateful to have had the chance to serve and be helpful to so many people in such a short space of time.
